The element Sillicon is the material used for computer motherboards and computer chips. They are very efficent since they don't take up large amounts of space. This allows the computer chips to be installed in portable devices like phones! The global technology center named Sillicon Valley was also named after the element Sillicon!

Another useful element for technology is Lithium. Lithium batteries are rechargable and reusable. The Lithium batteries work by creating a flow of electrons from both sides of the battery. If you, were to discharge a battery it would begin from the anode to cathode but if you were charging the battery it would start at the cathode then flow the lithium ions to the anode.
